Protection for Food and Beverage stored product from Airborne Contamination

Freudenberg Filtration Technologies have developed the Tank Pressure Unit, TPU 500. A modular fan filter unit for the control of air quality in tanks and small filling enclosures, in the food and beverage industry. The unit is suitable for liquid silo containment supplying a contamination free blanket of air over the product.

The TPU 500 unit provides multi-stage filtration up from EPA11 to HEPA14 grade protecting the product from bacteria, yeast and mold that can significantly affect product lifetime and can determine the shelf life of a dairy producs and other food and beverage liquids.

Liquid product silo’s and holding tanks with open vents or open areas can allow microbe-filled “dirty” air to come into contact with the products.

TPU 500 Modular Fan Filter Unit

  • Application:
    A modular fan filter unit for the control of air quality in tanks and small filling enclosures, in the food and beverage industry. Suitable for liquid food product silo containment. Modular construction using fully welded 304 stainless steel casework sections.
    With multi-stage air filtration:
    Primary filter ISO ePM2.5 65% (F7)
    Final filter (EPA11 to HEPA14) as specified by the customer.
     
  • Description:
    Designed for the food and beverage industry, each unit is supplied with a pressure switch and wiring to an external isolator and controller to provide constant volume regulation. 

    An adjustable support stand is supplied to ensure stability on the tank surface.
    Connection from unit to enclosed tank is 200NB or as specified by customer.

    Air volume is maintained at the mini- mum design condition throughout the life of the filtration system. The pressure switch can be set to sound an alarm or can provide a visual indication of the filter condition.
